In 1976 John DeSario founded Housewrights Incorporated and began his passionate journey of woodworking by building timber framed houses, then an almost forgotten art.
With the use of large chisels, axes, hand planes and wooden mallets, devoted craftsmen like John sculptured these majestic wood beamed structures.
Over the years John's love of woodworking transpired in a natural progression to the design and building of custom cabinetry.
42 years later, Housewrights has become one of New England's finest and most respected creators of high-end custom architectural millwork, including classical custom cabinetry and one-of-a-kind fine furniture.

The REAL work begins once we are awarded a new project!
Detailed shop drawings of all architectural millwork, cabinetry, furniture, etc. are provided to the Home Owners and Architects for review.
Upon approval the drawings are distributed to our highly skilled craftsmen.
Deposits are received and materials are procured.
Each and every product is then created with careful inspection every step of the way.
Next products are sent to the finish room where a variety of finishing techniques are available, including water base "green" finishes, hand rubbed oils, stains, hand sprayed or brush applied paint, and durable lacquer or urethane based finishes.

We stand behind, and warranty, each & every product that leaves our shop.
We also include specific instructions on how to properly care for those products.
The industry standard is one year, Housewrights will give you an unheard of limited "lifetime warranty" (Documentation will be available after we receive an invoiced final payment).

All items, from large cabinets to minute pieces of trim, are carefully wrapped to insure their protection during shipping.
Once protected, we hand load all items into our delivery trucks.
All products are inspected throughout the fabrication process as well as before loading and after delivery.
Shipping documentation and in-house representatives accompany our shipments to ensure that unloading and handling of your product is carefully executed.
Our caring of your product does not stop once it leaves our facility.
