In 1987, Joseph Sumpter had brochures printed for a painting business, and was hired to paint the entire exterior of a house - he was 14 years old.
Joseph continued his painting business and added home repairs, which he successfully worked at boarding school and college.
By graduation he had earned the respect and trust of college faculty and community members for his knowledge of remodeling projects and his commitment to doing things carefully and correctly.
