T Z Of Madison
The home remodeling spectrum is wide; kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, window and door replacement and entire home renovations. Motivation for those remodeling projects can come from several areas. Some homeowners want to lessen their environmental footprint and plan their remodeling projects with green techniques and products. Others desire to remain in their home safely and independently for as along as possible and approach their remodeling projects with a Universal Design for all perspective.

Regardless of where you are on the spectrum, TZ of Madison has the education and experience on staff to meet your needs. We take pride in being a successful family oriented business that understands remodeling is a very personal process. We sometimes become 'part' of your family during larger projects and are always accessible to you. By remaining a small, family-run company TZ is able to focus on your personal project.

We always maintain clear communication channels with you to finish your project on time and within budget, rendering your home improvement dream a reality.
Services
Schedule your initial consultation - in the one hour meeting, we will talk about your ideas for your project, discuss what is needed to proceed (surveys, plans, specification development, estimates of cost with possible options, financing questions, schedules and time frames).
Develop plans for you project - This is the part where you get to make decisions on layout, product selection.
Along with our vendors we work with you to help you make the best decisions for your project.
The estimate - We will develop in writing a very detailed estimate of the costs to perform the work discussed at our initial design meeting.
Many people have no idea what a wide variety of potential costs are involved within a particular remodeling project.
Therefore you may need help on how to estimate a budget for singular or longer-term "phased" home improvement projects.
Phased Home Improvement helps you prioritize home improvements within realistic budgetary goals.
In many cases good planning can prevent redundant costs for 2nd or 3rd phased home improvements because they won't require an earlier phase to be needlessly redone.
We can prepare a detailed estimate of all the costs from planning and development of specifications through completion.
TZ of Madison believes that continuing education is necessary to maintain experience and professionalism in remodeling.
This allows us to provide homeowners with the most up to date and expert techniques for their remodeling projects.
Green Certified Professional - GCP a designation for remodelers focusing on energy efficiency and conservation, indoor air quality, efficient use of resources, recycling of demolition material and renewable energy sources.
Universal Design Certified Professional - UDCP a new designation for remodelers who focus on the Seven Universal Design principles and apply them to projects for families who wish to age in place, have special needs or are forward thinking.
If you are seeking to hire a professional remodeler be sure to ask for references.
It is important to make reference calls to verify that a particular contractor has done similar work on schedule and within budget for previous clients.
Making reference calls will also ensure that the contractor has demonstrated good communication skills, kept job sites clean, employed quality subcontractors, has good insurance, and was capable of effectively addressing other concerns (you or) previous clients may have had.
Similarly to the question "What does a bag of groceries cost?" this is a very difficult question to answer.
It depends on what is in the shopping bag - bread and butter or steak and lobster?
Cost is dependent upon the scope of your project/budget and your needs vs. desires.
For some clients a "phased remodeling" is the best long-term solution.
Home remodeling is unique and personal to each homeowner, at TZ of Madison we excel at understanding your individualized needs, goals and budgets.
This type of project cost is very difficult to determine.
