At Spoca Kitchen and Bath if we had to draw a picture of how we do business, it would look like a bicycle wheel. In the center is the hub - that's where we start with every client. Consider it your home base. From open concept kitchen / living areas to spa-like bath retreats, functional laundry rooms and accessible in-law suites, we partner with our clients to creatively solve existing problems and share ideas to breathe new life into old spaces.

Concept to completion, our aim is to get the most from the space available and make the kitchen or bath remodeling process as stress-free as possible. We want you to love how you live, and love the experience of working with us! Lena McGuire established the Camillus boutique kitchen and bath design center after 20+ years as a designer and kitchen and bath remodeling project specialist.

She is an NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association) member and has specific and extensive training in the nuances of kitchen and bath design, mechanical systems, color theory, spacial planning, lighting, construction and building codes, project management and other areas of importance to residential design and construction.

When it comes to updating your kitchen, you'll find yourself in one of four categories.
Which category you end up in is one of the most important things we discuss at our first meeting - our Cuppa Meeting.
We'll get together over a cup of coffee (or tea or hot chocolate!) and discuss your plans to change your living space.
Spoca Kitchen & Bath is here to help you discover what your specific needs and desires are for your new kitchen and then partner with you to create a new vision.
If you're ready to transform your old kitchen into a space that's just right for your unique lifestyle, take the first step.
If you're happy with most of the larger materials in your existing kitchen - like cabinets and appliances - and they're in good shape, then you might be thinking of a cosmetic kitchen update or what we call a Kitchen Refresh.
Typically this involves making stylistic updates while not changing the major components.
With a Kitchen Refresh all the main components remain in their existing locations.
The cabinets are kept, but maybe the countertop is upgraded or a new backsplash is added.
The appliances all stay in the same place, but maybe the dishwasher or range needs to be swapped out for a newer model.
If you are unhappy with the layout of your existing kitchen and want to move one or more appliances or the kitchen sink to a different location but will not be taking down or relocating walls, your project is most likely a Reconfigure kitchen.
A Reconfigure Kitchen is considered a minor remodel.
It can be every bit as messy and time consuming as a full fledged major remodel - or not - depending on what you are trying to accomplish.
Sometimes the project only requires small wall cutouts, other times one or more walls may need to be taken down to the studs.
Or maybe you just want to redirect traffic flow out of the cooking zone.
Or you dream of creating an open floor plan by joining the kitchen to an adjacent room.
Perhaps your kitchen isn't in an ideal location and you'd rather have it moved to another part of the home.
When your kitchen doesn't match your lifestyle and your needs or is in need of major repair or expansion, remodeling can make all the difference.
A minor remodel involves demolition of everything in the old kitchen right down to the wall studs and the subfloor, and probably taking down the ceiling too if you're adding new recessed lighting or want cabinets that go all the way to the ceiling.
Sometimes the layout of your existing bathroom works perfectly but your bathroom is simply outdated or not the style you want.
If this is the case, you probably have a Pull & Replace bathroom.
In this situation the plan is to remove everything and replace it with all new products and finishes.
This means a complete demolition of the existing bathroom - all the way to the studs and the subfloor.
The most important thing to remember is that in a Pull and Replace bathroom, all the new products are installed in the EXACT same location as the previous bathroom.
