Stefan's son, also named Stefan, took an interest in his father's work at an early age. As a child he loved the excitement and anticipation of seeing the new houses, additions and improvements in progress. A skilled carpenter with a special penchant for fine finish work, he has a strong background in restoration techniques and has worked on projects in Southern France, Newport Rhode Island and the U.S. west coast.
He has a rich variety of experience in his trade ranging from simple repairs using traditional techniques, to working on showpiece homes utilizing state of the art materials and features. Now, he works alongside his father and plans to continue the family legacy of excellent work and customer service for at least another forty years. My husband and I bought a home that hadn't been updated since it was built in 1958.

We are huge fans of Stefan at New Canaan Building & Remodeling.
Stefan came up with a creative and cost-effective way to refresh our outdoor balcony. It was a custom solution that did not break the bank. About a year later helped us again with interior built-ins and three new windows.
They were always friendly and cool around our kids, and never left anybody we didn't know on the project unsupervised. The worksite was cleaned up each day. Last minute changes and additions were accommodated for a fair price.
I recommend New Canaan Building without hesitation.
