TBR Construction performed the design and the construction for our total home remodel. They were great to work with and very professional. The design was amazing; Moe had a vision and really thinks about functionality and beauty. The actual construction process was very efficient, and if unforeseen issues happened, Moe was creative with his proposed solutions. There were always crews present to make progress so we completed on time. Overall, we are very pleased with the outcome of our remodel and recommend TBR Construction.

Moe Toofan with TBR Construction provided architectural designs for our kitchen and laundry room renovation after water damage as a result of the 2021 winter storm. He also provided detailed estimates and drawings, and communicated with our insurance company for a fair settlement. Moe is very talented and his communication skills are outstanding. We highly recommend TBR Construction for remodeling, renovations, and support with insurance claims.

I'm currently looking at houses to buy, and with each potential house come different remodel challenges. And at different price points, each potential house leaves me with a different budget to bring the home up to meet my family's needs. Not only does Moe have the ability to assess the limitations of any given situation, but he was also able to listen to my desires (from both functional and design standpoints) and offer other suggestions (that hadn't even occurred to me!) that could serve my purpose, while staying within the set physical and budgetary confines. Further, Moe shows up as an ally, not just a contractor. He suggested I look at sales comps to try to ascertain what the price point of selling a fully remodeled house in the area would be, because he didn't want to see me invest so much money in a remodel that would mean I had to take a loss when I sell the house. What other contractor does that??? He's a gem of a person, and he knows his stuff. Highly recommend!

First of all, please disregard my 12 year old daughter's google name and avatar when considering this review. Clearly, my tech knowledge to change this is sorely lacking. Also sorely lacking.my knowledge of construction. I have big ideas and creative plans, but completely lack the knowledge of framework, foundation, structure etc., that one needs to assess not only the physical feasibility but also the financial scope of a remodel project.
This is where Moe is a godsend. Not only does he have the ability to assess the structural limitations of any given situation, but he was also able to listen to my desires (from both functional and design standpoints) and offer other suggestions (that hadn't even occurred to me!) that could serve my purpose, while staying within the physical and budgetary confines of the situation.

And at different prices points, each potential house leaves me with a different budget to bring the home up to meet my family's needs. The first time we met, I got the time wrong and was an hour late. Moe was still endlessly patient, and even entertained my most "out there" ideas (indoor/outdoor fishpond, anyone?).
The last thing I'll say about Moe, and maybe the most important, is that he also comes to the table as an ally, not just a contractor. For example, Moe asked about my long term plans for owning a particular house. When I told him I might sell in 3 years if my daughter goes to a different high school, Moe suggested look at sales comps to try to ascertain what the price point of selling a fully remodeled, perfect house in the area would be, because he didn't want to see me invest so much money in a remodel that would mean I had to take a loss when I sell the house. I highly recommend Moe as a general contractor. My husband and I hired Moe to renovate a two-story 1970s home for us in 2017. As first-time homeowners and renovators, we are incredibly thankful to have had Moe help us and would hire him again in a heartbeat (and we did just this when we had him come back to update a bathroom that was left untouched in the prior renovation). Moe is at his core a perfectionist, and his attention to detail shows through.
His subcontractors were generally very professional and Moe was hands-on in overseeing them. Moe's background in architecture allowed him to come up with creative, aesthetically pleasing solutions to any issues presented. He was also transparent as to spending and worked with us from the beginning to minimize change orders and spend our renovation dollars efficiently. It was a pleasure to work with Moe and I hope to work with him in the future, not only because he excels at his job but because he is a wonderful person as well.
