We cannot enthuse enough about the work that Josh, Tony and crew did in our house this year. We initially booked Combs Remodeling to help us replace an aging deck on our 100-year-old house. From the start, Josh stood out from the competition. He was responsive, turned quotes around quickly and seemed to have a ton of knowledge about how to approach our projects. We started by having them replace the porch on our 100-year-old house. The project was done on time and done beautifully. They even cleaned up the worksite each day in a way that made it hard to feel like any work was being done!
Later, we had Josh and crew completely gut and remodel a basement bathroom. From the start, Josh was incredibly open to our ideas and designs. He was also upfront when we had an idea that might be difficult to execute or more expensive. As the project got underway, we were continually impressed by the constant communication and the way that they proactively solved problems. With a 100-year-old house, we hit numerous snags along the way. Josh was incredibly creative in how to address each challenge in the most professional yet cost efficient way. For example, we discovered that a new toilet actually needed to be raised by two inches for the plumbing to work effectively. Josh personally built a raised surface below the toilet that beautifully conformed to the base. When we first saw it, we actually didn't notice the workaround because it blended so beautifully! When a shower door that I ordered did not initially, they offered numerous ways to adjust course. The finished product was exceptional. They did beautiful tile work in our shower and an intricate herringbone pattern behind our vanity. They installed new flooring and cleaned up old, outdated plumbing and drywall. When people walk in the room now, they gasp!
I cannot emphasize enough how responsive and professional Josh and team are. They communicated with us regularly, always arrived when they said they would and left our house in great condition each day. We were delighted to welcome them each day so the project never felt like a burden. They were even open to thinking about ways to help our toddler nap each day without disruption during the work. In the end, we found their initial quotes to be very close to our final costs and incredibly competitive with other contractors that we engaged. We're so grateful we chose to go with them.
Hands down, we will use Combs Remodeling for all of our projects in the future and cannot recommend them highly enough!

Combs Remodeling recently completed a full renovation on a 1905 bungalow I purchased in Manitou Springs while I still resided in my now previous home in Oklahoma. Josh and I would talk regularly about changes that I might want to consider, both in keeping with the age and style of the house but also color changes I might want to consider. Josh updated me regularly through pictures and I can tell you his suggestions were never a disappointment. The work he did was impeccable, his attention to detail was outstanding! He also has fantastic design and building skills. I would highly recommend Josh and his crew for any of your remodeling needs.

Josh is a fabulous contractor. My husband and I highly recommend him. He is professional, responds quickly to calls and texts, works on projects in a timely manner, and is very thorough. He always cleans up after and is careful with his surroundings.
His employee…side-kick, Tony, is great, too. He is a unobtrusive and methodical. Both are invested in their workmanship and will work extra hard to make sure you are satisfied and happy with the project’s outcome.
When we looked for bids, we found that Josh’s prices weren’t the cheapest, nor the priciest, but affordable and worth the quality work.
He repainted our kitchen cabinets, installed new hardware on them, a new granite countertop, sink and faucet, as well as fixed our kitchen ceiling (it looks perfect now) and some other small projects around the house. It all is exactly as we wanted it, if not better - we are so happy!
