John was born in Nashville, Tennessee and graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. degree in Business. He served four years as an officer in the Navy and had two tours of duty in Vietnam. He now lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife, Sheri and his two sons, Jason and Forrest, live in Nashville.
